Notes from Amber Archangel, Founder of 1Sun4All

February 8, 2014

It was almost one year ago that I began writing for 1Sun4All, and a lot has happened in that time. Thanks so much to all of you who visit the site every day and read about what’s happening in the clean energy revolution, I enjoy learning right along with you. One of my goals is to make the science related to renewable energy fun to learn about. From some of the comments I’ve received, you enjoy the videos and infographics that I include with my stories. Let me know if you have more suggestions.

Kids are welcome and safe to visit 1Sun4All, with that in mind I try to be mindful of the content of stories and videos from other writers. If you see or hear something that offends, please let me know and I will remove the article. As you may be aware, I focus on the things we can do, as individuals, communities and businesses, to move into our clean energy future.

I remain committed to not publishing stories meant to frighten us, or articles that have photos of distasteful images. If a story has news that is difficult to know about, I will only publish it if there is a redeeming component in the article.

Renewable energy, in many forms is developing around the world. It is our sustainable future, it is exciting to learn about and I love being a part of this transformation.

I know that some of you have read my coverage of the Solar Decathlon, for my new visitors, the stories from previous Decathlons are tremendously inspiring. I highly recommend attending the event if you can. The next U.S. competition will be held in Los Angeles in 2015. I will carry all the news on the teams, the venue and the dates, as they are made public.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to contact me. Feel free to send me a comment on any concern you have about what we’re doing here. And “stay tuned” there’s more good stuff coming.

Note from our founder,

I was trying to find information about solar and rainwater collection and I had to look in so many different places that I decided to build my own site that would have all the information I want. I’m not an engineer or a scientist, I’m a person who wants to know about renewable energy. I want to know how I can help and what’s available to me that I can use in my life. I believe that renewable energy will help our economy and help our world and I want to be a part of that.

So I took computer and business classes at my local community college. I learned how to make a presentation and here we are. I am very excited to bring the information that people want about renewable energy to one comprehensive site. We will continue to evolve as the times and markets change. We will bring the current most up-to-date news and products to our viewers.
Thank you for visiting our site, don’t hesitate to drop us an e-mail and let us know what you think.

We have so many wonderful things planned. Keep visiting, this is just the beginning.
